Debate: Which Luxury Fundamentals Still Create Value?
Many of the long-held rules of luxury are being tested as never before. Prices have risen sharply across the category; some of the most iconic creative voices have departed or changed; the boundaries between luxury and premium have blurred; and a more selective consumer is asking harder questions about what they are paying for. In this structured debate, senior leaders will directly challenge accepted wisdom around the fundamentals that have historically defined luxury value: scarcity, craftsmanship, exclusivity, creative vision, and service, asking which of these still build genuine desirability in 2027, and which now need to be rethought or abandoned. This is not a panel discussion designed to reach consensus. Expect sharp positions and a conversation that cuts to the core of what luxury means, and is worth, today.
